Frequently Asked Questions?

Every new idea generates questions. We have collected the questions that typically arise when people first hear about the concept:

When I die, how will others know that I have leased a tree?

EcoEternity will give you an instruction card for your wallet. We will also give you instruction sheets to include in your will and to give to the executors of your will. Finally, we will give instruction sheets to local funeral homes.

What happens if my tree is damaged by storm or lightning?

At no extra cost, you have three choices: a tree near yours may assume the role of the memorial tree, you may select another comparable tree within any EcoEternity Forest, or a new tree may be planted close to the spot of the damaged tree.

Can I place commemorative items on or near a memorial tree?

The EcoEternity concept is to keep the forest natural. Plastic flowers or metal markers do not belong in a natural forest. Local wild flower seeds may be spread on the interment opening. Please contact our service desk for details.
