About Chestnut Ridge

Located in Orange County, NC, the EcoEternity Forest at Chestnut Ridge is in the heart of North Carolina. The one-acre forest overlooks the beautiful Lake Fellowship at Chestnut Ridge Camp and Retreat Center. Founded in 1959 by The North Carolina United Methodist Conference, Chestnut Ridge rests on 362 beautiful, rolling, forested hills just west of Chapel Hill, NC.

Chestnut Ridge provide three primary services: summer camp, retreat facilities and programs, and outdoor education. Chestnut Ridge is a thriving camp and retreat center, hosting approximately 10,000 persons per year. Chestnut Ridge provides both the gift of community and also the quiet sounds of nature and restful solitude. In the forests, you will find a variety of indigenous trees including White Oak, Shagbark Hickory, Birch, Maple, and Tulip Poplar.

Chestnut Ridge's mission is to make the love of Christ visible through the practices of hospitality, responsible care for the earth, and meaningful fellowship that strengthens the community.

Camp Director Rhonda Parker: "The EcoEternity Forest is an expression of commitment to this mission on every level."
