EcoEternity Green Burial Concept and Forest Cemetery

First EcoEternity Forest consecrated on 23 October

The Northern Virginia United Methodist Camp and Conference Corporation, Camp Highroad and EcoEternity, LLC jointly consecrated the EcoEternity Forest at Camp Highroad on 23  October. Located in Loudoun County, Virginia, this is the first EcoEternity Forest in the U.S.  Mike Santucci, a Virginia Forest Conservation Specialist, spoke on the need to preserve our forest to protect our environment.

Rick Dawson, Executive Director of Camp Highroad, spoke on how the EcoEternity Forest completed the circle of life ministries that Camp Highroad provides to the community. Alan Reifsnyder, District Superintendent of the Alexandria District of the UMC, spoke on the Life Cycle Ministry and Young Jin Cho, District Superintendent of the Alexandria District of the UMC, formally consecrated the forest.

Richard Demy was born in 1983 in Falls Church, Virginia. He received a full scholarship to study music performance and music education at Louisiana State University in 2001. During his education he won several musical based awards, including The John Philip Sousa award for merit, and the Semper Fidelus award for music, among many others.
